Hawley Lake is located on the White Mountain Apache Indian Reservation of east-central Arizona. The lake is surrounded by mountain peaks. Artificially extended as a reservoir for downstream irrigation plus trout and ice fishing. It is at an altitude of 8,000ft. Hawley Lake is known for mild summer temperatures and wet climate. In the winter time it is cold and frozen and access is closed throughout most of the winter.
